National Safety Day 2024 at Sikkim Alpine University

National Safety Day 2024 observed by Sikkim Alpine University in collaboration with Namchi Police Traffic Unit, 4^th March 2024.

National Safety Day was observed on 4th March, 2024 by Sikkim Alpine University in collaboration with Namchi Police Traffic Unit. In a general overview, the main aim of this day is to generate awareness about ensuring proper safety measures and motivate individuals, organizations to abide by them accordingly. The theme for National Safety Day, 2024 is “Focus on Safety Leadership for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Excellence”.

In line with spreading larger awareness among youths, this program was particularly targeted for students as an awareness drive pertaining to road safety. Officials from Namchi Police Traffic Unit were among the distinguished guests for this vital awareness related drive. An official from Namchi Police Traffic Unit provided presentation related to road safety and apprised the young students about various safety measures.

Further, Sikkim Alpine University officials under the guidance and esteemed presence of Dr. Vijay Kumar Gulati (Registrar, Sikkim Alpine University) donated a total of 39 traffic related items such as road signs, road alerts and other valuable traffic related materials to Namchi Police Traffic Unit. Students and faculty members from Sikkim Alpine University were in large attendance for the event.
