An award winning documentary video by students of Sikkim Alpine University under “wealth from waste ” category in ‘Ignite- Light the Fire Within’ festival event that won among all participating Universities & institutions of Sikkim.

Students of Sikkim Alpine University have done an exceptional job by introducing an initiative towards lessening the environmental burden that has been added by the Covid-19 pandemic.

As we all are aware of the environmental hazard created by the improper disposal of used masks in large scale across the globe, every day.

However, human resilience has proved time and again that we overcome even the most difficult situations or crises if we work hand in hand with service to humanity at the core of our purpose.

As a ray of hope, the young students of SAU have come forward with an innovative step of recycling the used masks while sanitizing, processing and transforming them into such spectacular items of everyday use.

Through such examples, we know that our precious planet has a better future in the hands of our very dynamic younger generation.
