Sikkim Alpine University celebrated National Unity Day 2025

Sikkim Alpine University celebrated National Unity Day 2025 (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on 31st October 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

The Departments of Political Science and History organized inspiring sessions highlighting Sardar Patel’s visionary role in uniting India’s princely states and strengthening the foundation of national integration.

Speakers, including faculty members Dr. Md. Altamash Imam, Mr. Sonam Wangdi Dorjee Bhutia, and Mr. Yogesh Tamang, reflected on Patel’s statesmanship and his enduring message of unity and integrity. Students shared thoughtful reflections on the relevance of his ideals in modern India.

A Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was administered, reaffirming commitment to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. The event fostered a spirit of national pride, solidarity, and civic responsibility.
