Prof. Sushil Kumar Tiwari is a distinguished academician and Professor of Philosophy with more than 27 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and over 34 years of research experience.

He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1987 with a doctoral thesis titled “Marx’s Concept of Alienation”, after completing his M.A. in Philosophy (First Division) in 1978 and B.Sc. (First Division) in 1976 with specialization in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.

He has been serving the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur since 03 December 1989, initially as a Lecturer, and has been working as Professor in the Department of Philosophy since 03 December 2006.

His teaching expertise includes UG courses on Problems of Philosophy and PG courses on Western Philosophy with special reference to Kant. His areas of research interest encompass-

• Western Philosophy,
• Marxian Philosophy
• Environmental Philosophy and
• Practical Philosophy.

Under his supervision, five scholars have been awarded Ph.D. degrees, and four research scholars are currently pursuing doctoral work. Prof. Tiwari has made significant academic contributions by presenting 20 research papers in seminars and conferences, participating in 33 academic events, and organizing five seminars and conferences at the national and university levels.
