ALPINE SCHOOL OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
The School of Special Education at Sikkim Alpine University is committed to preparing competent, compassionate, and professionally skilled special educators capable of addressing the diverse educational needs of children and individuals with disabilities. The School promotes inclusive education, rehabilitation services, research, innovation, and community engagement while supporting the vision of an equitable and accessible society.
Our academic programmes integrate theoretical knowledge with practical training, school internships, rehabilitation practices, fieldwork, assistive technology, counselling, and research. Students gain hands-on experience through inclusive schools, rehabilitation centres, special schools, hospitals, NGOs, and community outreach programmes.
The curriculum is designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) norms, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and contemporary practices in inclusive education, ensuring graduates become competent professionals with ethical values, leadership qualities, and a commitment to social inclusion.
