“Interaction Session with published Author Mr. Tempa Lepcha”

On 30th June 2022, Lepcha Department at Sikkim Alpine University organised an interaction session with an eminent guest Mr Tempa Lepcha, a published writer who has contributed largely towards the development of Lepcha language and literature.

Apart from his teaching service, he has been actively working as a sub-editor of Lepcha Magazine ‘Sungfum and Mayal Sut’. ‘Sung-Faat Lyetsa’, Dzongu Punol’ and Dungeet-Reepshing’ are some of the books he has authored and published so far.

The invited guest shared his valuable inputs for the progress of Lepcha department at the University and gave his assurance of constant support in favor of the positive development of the department. He further donated his books to the Library of Sikkim Alpine University and promised to donate Lepcha language Dictionary to the library very soon.

In response to his grand gesture, the University presented him a letter of appreciation as a token of gratitude. Sikkim Alpine University envisions to build an inclusive culture and dynamic educational environment in the campus through such active engagement and interactive sessions with local resource persons from diverse fields of knowledge.
