Board of Studies
BOARD OF STUDIES
Each Board shall consist of the following members:
(i) Maximum Nine / Minimum Two senior teachers who have specialized knowledge of the subject, to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor; The Vice Chancellor shall decide the Chairperson among them.
(ii) Two experts from the relevant industry/ research organization as nominated by the Vice Chancellor.
(iii) The board may co-opt two experts (senior teacher/ Technologist/ researcher) having special knowledge, if needed.
The term of the office of the members shall be for three years. There shall be the following Boards of Studies in the subjects or group of subjects under the respective faculties. The Vice Chancellor is authorized to add the subjects or the group of subjects in the below given respective board of studies as and when required.
1. School of Special Education
- Board of Studies in Special Education
- Any other Board of Studies which may be required but not mentioned above
2. School of Pharmacy
- Board of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
- Board of Pharmaceutical Technology
- Board of Pharmacology
- Board of Pharmacognosy
- Any other Board of Studies which may be required but not mentioned above
3. School of Humanities & Social Sciences
- Board of Studies in Social Sciences
- Board of Studies in History
- Board of Studies in Geography
- Board of Studies in Psychology
- Board of Studies in Philosophy
- Board of Studies in Political Sciences
- Board of Studies in English
- Board of Studies in Journalism & Mass Communication
- Board of Studies in Library & Information Sciences
- Board of Studies in Limboo
- Board of Studies in Lepcha
- Board of Studies in Nepali
- Board of Studies in Sociology
- Board of Studies in Economics
- Any other Board of Studies which may be required but not mentioned above
4. School of Commerce & Management
- Board of Studies in Business Administration

5. School of Pure & Applied Sciences
